Yes that`s a rim drive, now remove the E clip and washer, then remove the rim drive sprocket, that may be a Stihl setup or an Oregon one, the drive splines on the drum are different sizes.

It’s a Stihl...I bought that thing new 30 years ago as a grad student to help me work my way through school.

Now help me understand: all I need to do is buy a .325 rim drive sprocket and install it? One like this: Oregon 11892 .325-inch Radially Ported 7 Tooth Power Mate Rim Spline https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001SCLULW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CT9jDbXV5N8JK

That will not fit a Stihl drum and spline. The Stihl drum spline is smaller, its called a mini spline in Stihl terms.

OK here is a picture of my 026 pro sprocket as currently set up:

Helpful hint from Definitive Dave: A penny will almost exactly cover a Stihl mini spline, a nickel will almost exactly cover an Oregon small spline, and a quarter will almost exactly cover an Oregon Standard spline.

While you have the E-clip off the clutch, pull out the clutch drum and bearing, and remove the cover so you can clean out all the crap beneath the cover, and chain brake mech.. Clean out the bearing, inside of drum, and crank end. Put some grease on the bearing before you put things back together.

P.S. there may be markings on the rim/drum to tell if it's aftermarket or stihl parts.
