Do only the Bio oils, such as Stihl's Bio Plus not gum up and turn into a resin?

Will the regular bar oil they sell in the orange jug harden as it ages?

Regular bar oil won't turn to a resin or gum up. Vegetable based oils will unless they have additives to prevent this, like Stilh or Husky bio oil.

Thanks!

I was wondering why my Stihl manuals state to fill the oil tank before winterizing. Well now I know!
