Quick Splitter engine/coupler question.

Can you get couplers that go on a splined shafted engine or do they only work with keyed shafts?

Yes they do make couplers for splined shafts. One company is KTR. Try Surplus Center - Hydraulics, Engines, Electrical and More

magnalloy has many couplers with splined centers. You would end up going through industrial sources, at close to retail, which won't be cheap.
+1 on vote for surplus center, good people.
