Race chain

I hear people on this site talk of race chain. Is this something you buy, or do you start with a chisel chain and regrind it? I did a search and did not find instructions on how to make it or where to get some.

or dial 911 for a really fast chain and explain to them what you are looking for and have someone make you a really, really good chain.
Because my hand filed ones are so slow, I was afraid the wood was going to heal up before I got through the cut.:hmm3grin2orange:

Search a little deeper, there are quite a few pictures still on this site and even some basic instructions. If you want to try it your self its a lot of trial and error, expect lots of error If you want to buy one you just have to know the right people.
