Taking the clutch, bar and chain off of a 251 C-BE . Going to test mine with an 18" bar and chain that's .325" 0.063 gauge. The stock Picco sprocket is 6T and the 325 is 7T. So im curious how well it cuts.

Any guesses?

Guess I didn’t put that right. What put the 251 clutch in your 241?

Why? Because hes the sneller man and he sees all andnknows all. If a 251 will run an 18" 325,I know my 241 will.

the 241 will run an 18" bar no problem but if Stihl offered it that way ,it would infringe on 261 territory.

If the ms251 comes with a .325, and you all say the ms241 is more powerful,
what is the big problem?

Just because Brad said so?

I was only doing it as a experiment. I know the 3/8 L.P. will cut faster with less power. It just makes no sense how people say the 241 won't run an 18" bar,but a 251 will run a 18" .325. Some things make no sense. I thinking because Still reccomends 12 to 16 for the 241 everyone thinks that's all it can do. They don't want to say it can turn an 18 because they don't want it stepping on the toes of the 261.
