I think its PERFECT for homeowners who cant keep their chains out of the dirt. For those of us who have figured out that cutting in dirt isnt good for a saw, or for the pros, its pretty much useless,

My dumb(__!__) would figure a way to cut into all that metal. I'll stick to the dirt, cuts easier and dont dull my chain as fast. Neat idea though.

It's great on the downhill slalom runs too. If a tree gets in your way you just cut on through.

I think if you saw up firewood on the ground it's a real good idea.

How many of you stick your foot on it or roll it over with your foot to cut the back or worse still hold a length in one hand whilst cutting with the other?

... No firewood cutting for me though so I'll give it a miss.
