Search Function

Okay, what am i missing here? With the old search feature I could type in "Husqvarna 394" or "Stihl 044" and the majority of the posts that would come up were related, now it omits short words like "394" or "066" rendering the search function nearly worthless. Is there a way to improve this?

It's like that on several forums I'm on. Really stinks for looking up an older thread that you knew the title of, and the system excludes 3/4 of the words.

Try this Method in Google, I've seen it recommended but keep forgetting:
arboristsite.com porting exhaust

Just use Google. Type your search terms then "site:arboristsite.com"

Thanks for the replies! Exactly why I asked, I figured someone less computer illiterate than me probably had a method. Not sure why things that aren't broken keep getting "fixed".....

if you use Chrome browser, there is an extension called personal blocklist that keeps grainger, home depot, etc from coming up on every search.

Sorry, don’t understand what you mean with that. I can spell pretty well. I think I’m lacking in how to search.

@pioneerguy600 can you get the site ops to fix this? Must be default settings with an update as I have seen similar issues on other forum sites... When is open season on programmers?
