Up here,

I can cut pine green in the fall, split it that winter, and sell it the following fall. Drying takes place in lots of wind and sun. This year I am going to see if I can dry it in 6-8 months.

i do kinda laugh though when i see firewood ads saying "seasoned TWO years"

who has the time and space ( in my city at least ) to have wood sitting around for TWO YEARS when one year or less is just fine...

There are folks on this forum who insist that oak takes two years to season properly for firewood.

Hasn't been my experience, and I live in a fairly humid client. Oh well.
