Shindaiwa 377 carb ?

New to me 377 in mint condition that has an carb problem. Installed new fuel line. carb kit and check twice . The saw will start and run for a second or two and dies out. I can keep it running if i drizzle mix into it' It's a wt-229, new ones are pricey. I believe because of the big idle screw on the top cover plate. ????? can i swap the plate to a cheaper carb? The plastice covers over screws were still in place.

The throttle hookups have to match as well.

Look on the inside cover, the diaphragm has to match.

What model is the carb you have, and what is the model number of the one that you are looking at?

Have you ever noticed the different diaphrams in a kit?

Also some carbs have an impulse nipple on the cover.

Looks like you will have trouble with that throttle shaft hookup.

They are very different.

Put in the blue one and now i have a running 377 for 15.00 bucks. Must of had a brain fart or too many budweiser's. lol thanks ht
