Side cover question

Could someone please tell me if the side/clutch cover is the same for the 310 and 361 aside from being made from different materials. Thanks.

They are not the same.

They sure don't look the same. Even if it would fit it wouldn't look right..

The two parts are actually pretty close but the newer 361, 362, 441 is a redesign that won't fit the older saws and vice versa. I have both and recently had to get a new cover for the 362.

The 311, 391 covers are the same design just plastic instead of magnesium. I haven't had any luck with the plastic covers.

I believe the cover for a 460 is basically the same as the 310 except the material. I want to say I bought the bigger cover for my 460 and put the original on the 310 I had. It fit perfect and it's still on it, my friend bought it from me a few years ago.

Most of the newer stuff is designed to not fit. That way you'll buy a new one instead of using what you have laying around. I'm kinda sticking to the old 290-390 stuff..
