Hi guys, hope everyone had a great christmas, mine would have been better if I could have gotten after some wood....
I just picked up a couple of new saws last week, a MS260 and a MS440 as I will have lots of different size wood to get after, question is, the last few days, my girlfriend collected alot of wood in the 3-5" diameter range that the loggers were leaving behind to be mulched. With wood that small, isn't alot of wide open work for a break in, so question is, should I get after some larger wood first for a couple of days, for break in period, or go ahead and get after these sticks. She has them piled in the driveway, so we will need to get them cleaned up soon.
How many tanks of gas are good for a break in period for these two saws, and when should I take them back for a check up?
Thanks for the help,
Sam

About 10 litres for run-in is what most of the experts say.

The small wood shouldn't be a problem, if you remember to go off the trottle soon enough.

Good luck! :biggrinbounce2:
