So ya put bar oil in the gas tank and gas in the bar oil tank

sure did!!! Good thing I didn’t start the saw, flushed gas tank out with carb cleaner.

My aunt put gasoline in her diesel tractor and drove it a fair ways. Didn’t hurt it luckily. It was my uncles falt really because he put gas in the can that said diesel on it

I put my old premix in my Ford 9N tractor when I fill up the tank. No sense in wasting fuel

Actually I do it all the time. Older gas mixed with unknown mixed pre mix always goes in the pressure washer or lawn mower. Better than throwing it in the fire pit

I've run a well filtered (coffee filter) mineral spirits through my lawn mower with no problems, during or after. (1 quart mineral spirits mixed with 2 gallons of gas)

Been there done that, also gassed saw didn’t put fuel cap back on grab saw and start walking one hand on pistol grip one hand on handle right at crotch level got a burning sensation on Frank & beans!! Only did that once!

Not if you don't mind cleaning your air filter, carb and plug more than once a year. Oh, it will run on oily gas, but it causes nastiness that needs to be addressed sooner or later.

Dad did in a Stihl once, only filled up the oil tank. I told him it be ok, needed cleaning any way.

Came close once. Worked a 12 hour night shift and came home to find a tree blocking my driveway. Just about put bar oil in the fuel tank. It was at that point that I decided I was too tired to be running a saw. I pulled in the driveway as far as I could an went to bed. I cut the tree without issue after taking a few hours rest.

I often put premix in my tractors and log splitter. It keeps the inners lubed like us using olive oil on our salads.

I never mixed up the gas premix and the bar oil yet. I do keep my mind on what I’m doing and block out all the other things that are going on in my life when cutting.

It does bring up a good point. How often do you flush the gas tank and oil tank? I have a rag on my gas can to wipe away the sa chips on the filler caps. But that probably doesn’t stop the chips from getting into the tanks.
