We are in the Market for a Splitter and, Have been looking at a 22-25 ton Speeco's as they are in are price range (up to $1400) and have heard such good things about them. What I am wondering is will this range of tonnage be able to split knotty Osage Orange?

Thanks in Advance!

OO is very straight grained so even knots and forks aren't to bad. If you try to go though a weak place or natural/existing crack you will have better luck. Splitting from the big end makes a difference too.

A 22 tonne splitter will breeze throught it.

Use that 32" bar and rip the logs that you can't split! That 920 will have no trouble with that stuff! Glad to see you join the forum, Andy!
