Gentlemen,

If a saw has sat all winter, do you do anything special before starting it up for the first time in the spring?

Thanks.

groan............ of course - fsdfghdfgh could well be in some really tiny northern European nation where you do buy $14 a gallon gas...

Your just getting it out? I'm ready to put mine away, been cutting all winter. Now the lawn mower... aghhh, don't even want to think about it.

I guess it all depends on how well you put it away.....There's a thread going now "mothballing for dummies"
Quick look at the plug assuming it was stored dry, fresh everthing and don't forget the air cleaner.
The best of luck...:)

Thanks for noticing, but i just got one off da bay along with a top handle.
If you have some remington parts, I'm all ears....

I have two older Remingtons I picked up, one is an SL-9, the other is the older top handle saw, I cant remember the model without running to the shop. I'll see what I have and get in touch.
