I'm working on a 028 wb, where do I find the serial number on this saw? and also, what does the wb stand for? how does this saw differ from a standard 028?
thanks for the help in advance guys!

WB stands for Wood Boss. There were several variations of the 028: WB, WB AV, WB Super AV, etc.

Essentially, WB means nothing, it's just a marketing scheme.

The serial number should be right above the clutch cover.

for what its worth the early wood boss' used a different oil pump, they used the ones from the 015...they did eventually change them over but I don't remember when.
