First post.

Hi, I bought my 026 new about ten years ago and it has always taken about five pulls to start from cold.

I love the saw, and cut six cords of firewood a year with it plus other jobs around the property, but my other saws start with two pulls (sometimes one if I get the choke off quick enough).

It's not a big deal, the saw always starts, but it would be nice if I didn't have to yank on it so much. I have to make sure it's warm before my Husky buddy comes over so he doesn't make fun of me.

Does anyone know what the problem could be, or am I stuck with a five pull saw?

Thanks, Ross

check that the choke in airfilter closes tightly, some of them don't

Albert & Lakeside, good call, it looks like the choke is not seating all the way around.

I'll buy a new filter assembly and see how it works out.

Thanks, Ross

Put on the new filter and it started first pull. Thanks, I should have asked ten years ago
