A co-worker has an old 030 AV, says it was his dad's. Don't know if he wants to get rid of it, but it is sitting in an old storage building where we work. It looks like all the parts are there minus a few screws that hold the starter on, and 2-3 more on one side. Apart from the P/C condition, would this be a good candidate for rebuild/cleanup and use if the price is reasonable? And what would be reasonable? Searched this forum, didn't see much discussion on the 030. Thanks for any insight, and CAD is kind of the squirts, isn't it? I am definitely caught up in it.

It's a great smaller saw. Just happens to be 40 years old. Almost the same saw as the 031 that followed it, but with a slightly smaller bore. With a 16" bar, it will keep up with an 041 if the chain is sharp, since it runs faster. Just remember its age and it has points and condensor behind the flywheel to maintain.
