Stihl 032av chain tensioner

Is there some kind if trick to get these darn things out?the bar plate won't even slide off.this one got over tightend and is bent.

I think the bar plate is held on by a shoulder on the bar mount studs on 031's and 032's.

So I gotta pull the bar studs?

Yes, I believe so. Never taken any out personally but from pictures and my saw that's what it looks like. You can probably use the two bar nuts to remove the stud.
