Stihl 036 VS 036QS RH CRANKCASE 1/2

I have a super nice Stihl 036QS chainsaw and want to convert it over to a 036. I am wondering if i can just swap out the tank and other stuff and eliminate the QS stuff. Will the 036 stuff be compatible with the 036QS RH crankcase 1/2? if not, i may have to split case? Please advise. Was going to just sell as is on ebay but rather convert first. BTW The brake mechanism doing not work for crap and hence the reason for the conversion. KInd of a useless homeowner saw if u ask me. Thanks
