Hi guys first time posting and looking for some advice. Took on a rebuild that someone lost interest in. All the parts seem to be there and crankcase is already split. This will be the first time I'm putting the lower end back together. The two case halves when I got the saw were just pushed together with the dowel pins. When I pulled them apart I managed to break the section the pin sits in. It doesn't look like the gasket goes around the pin so not sure whether it will cause an issue or not. Is it ok to leave it as is or should it be repaired/replaced? I've attached a photo of the piece in question, thank you.

Dowel pins should be driven back before separation but it would work fine with just that small portion missing. The gasket will still seal properly and the pins only work to align the two case halfs, the through bolts hold the saw together.
