Bill, not sure if @ray benson ever got the IPL for that saw.Any of these saws utilize the plastic carburetor box base? If so can someone give me the part number off of the filter?View attachment 641918

Thanks, but it looks like I'm coming up with part number 1110 120 1611? The other 040 base plate is different? The air filter is part no. 1110 120 1600

No I bought the filter yesterday morning. Thank you.William, I am glad that you got the air filter cover for your saw. Do you still need the air filter to go with it? John.
Yes they were sold in the US. I had one for many years until a rod bolt broke and destroyed the engine. I traded it back to the dealer for a bar and 2 chains that fit my replacement. He wanted it to salvage parts for other saws that were still running.I just picked up a Stihl 040 at a swap meet. The seller said the fuel tank leaks, but I haven't confirmed that yet. When I checked google images, all of the pictures that pop up seem to be from Europe. Was this saw not sold in the US? My local Stihl saw shop can't find it in their literature either.
