Clean it real good with sandpaper, wire wheel and brake clean, then skim coat it with jb weld. I had to do that to a few old vintage saws I had that had mag rot bad.

If the holes aren't all the way thru there's a good chance it's salvageable. If I remember tomorrow I will snap a couple pics. It's worth a shot for under 10$ and alil effort.

I have not tried starting them in years. They have been just sitting on the shelves. I will try to look on Sunday or Monday but I will assure you any of them will require at least a carb kit/lines/etc

Ebay can be a crap shoot, but if you are just looking for a good case to use in a rebuild of yours, you can probably find one on there fairly cheap. It's probably cheaper and easier in the long run though to buy another complete saw and keep yours for parts.
