Looking to sell or (trade to someone local) probably have a better chance of finding another 41g than finding anyone local that would offer even $60 nevermind $600 lol. Ok I recently rescued it from a long slumber and neglect have gotten as far as a good overall cleaning and inspection minus mic-ing engine internals. The original owner said it operated flawlessly up until it sat for 10+ years after he left Wisconsin for tbe Mohave Desert and after a fairly thorough going through don't see it needing anything more thsn a full carb/intake/fuel line diaphragm kit to get it going again the saw is complete with no missing and or damaged parts housings or covers the original paint is pretty terrible as its nearly all warn/ eaten/degraded from the premix slowly chewing at over the years however the magnesium housings covers etc are good under the paint. Asking $800 as is non running but complete no missing or broken parts. Yes I know that's what running examples have sold for I am also aware that was a good while back and pre covid. Currently there are no other 041g saws available in any condition and as the prices of everything and anything mechanical or motorized used for work or play have increased by at least 25% across the board I don't see why a collector saw is any different. If I don't recieve any offers around the $800 I'm probably gonna start slowing restoring it then sell it

Good luck, last few I saw were half that and twice as good.

I know that's exactly what I said in the ad. Thst was also pre covid price ATVs n bikes I was paying 1000-1200 for a year ago are now 2k+ absolute thrashed unrepairable examples that are barely even parts machines are selling 1500 now. As there are currently no other 041gs available in any condition anywhere right now if somebody wants one I'm the only show worst case scenario is I don't sell it and I'll restore it or in the very near future inflation is not only gonna come to meat my 800 it's gonna blow it down

Thank you all for all the positive comments and I truly valued everyones input on what the 041g was worth in its current condition. All the great feedback really did help in determining what a fair price for it was. It was purchased by a forum member who has chosen to remain anonymous for a sum we could both live with. I am sure he will share pics either during the restoration or a photo montage of the restoration process once it's complete and running once again. I live in the middle of the desert and vintage big tree saws are not the most common yard sale find however if and when I find another worthy of a collection I'll be back in here once again
