Stihl 046 $375 bo PHO. I bought this saw a year ago. At the time the piston looked fine and it ran strong. I used it for less than a chord of cutting.

When I ran it the other day something seemed off. I shut it down and pulled the muffler. The cylinder now has a small score on the face as you can see in the picture. It doesn't extend the whole piston face. I'm thinking it has an air leak.

The saw still holds 120, starts right up. It looks as though someone prior to me set it near a burning slash pile or something because it is slightly melted on the bottom, it didn't seem to effect anything and I never got around to buying a new tank/handle assy.

This is PHO, can arrange shipping and figure payment method too.20150701_210141.jpg 20150701_210141.jpg 20150701_205014.jpg

The piston looks polished smooth from use- almost like its chromed with no visible machine marks left. If someone installs a new piston/rings and hones/scotchbrites the cylinder; they would probably have a nice worksaw- Especially at the price. GLWS

Here's another picture of the handle. Mike this is the same saw I had asked about last summer before I bought it if you remember.

It doesn't appear to be structurally bad. At least I didn't notice it, but I am not an expert.
