Stihl 064 - 064AV

Where there 2 different versions of these? I am looking at an 064, but the badge just reads 064 no AV. Is this just a newer model? Thanks

AV just stands for anti-vibration. All 064 had AV.

The saw did not change much except for the air filter setup, and various flywheel/coil combos.

You could post the ser#, and pictures of the air filter setup and flywheel/coil.

Thanks for the info this. I kind of figured they all had the AV feature. But, when you stated the air filter setup that hit home because that is the first thing I noticed that was different. Thanks again!!

Filter set ups. Canister style is later saws, but early saws can be up graded.
