Stihl 08S oil pump cap missing

Hi all.
today I noticed that the black plastic(or maybe rubber) cap at bottom of oil pump is missing and I can see the worm of the pump. there is some dirt inside. Guess the cap was protecting it from that. The cap is the black thing you can see on the picture. Can I replace it for example with a wooden piece I can stick in the hole, or it is not advisable?

if you cant find the part then yes you could just cap it with something
