Could someone please explain to me how the on/off/choke switch works on the 201t. My saw was working, and now it won't turn off, I now have to choke it off.

It appears to me that the off position moves a linkage and moves the choke actuator at the carb in the opposite direction to the choke.

I see a couple of wires at the front end of the handle, but I can't see how they would be activated like a switch.

Every other saw I've worked on has an electrical switch for the on/off. I'm confused, so if any of you who rip these things apart regularly could help me, it would be appreciated.

Thx.

There are electrical contacts in there that ground out the spark when pushed to off. Loose crimp, broken wire, dirty contact most likely
