I am NOT recommending this as a long term fix,( but as a get you home fix as it where) will only work with a copper strand centre core in HT lead, cut off the Ht lead end as square as possible ( also end of extending piece of HT lead, suggest you fit plug cap before joining HT lead. ) slide a couple of pieces of shrink wrap on to HT lead, a piece of suitable dia piano wire approx 2inches long push into coil end wire 1 inch, grip exposed piano wire with needle nose pliers, & push extension HT piece till almost flush coat insolation end/s with super glue & push tight together, when dry fit 1 piece of shrink wrap, fit 2nd piece over the top of piece 1, for extra security you could bind with self amalgam tape. This mod/ repair was carried out on a Pioneer P50 about 18 months ago the saw has had approx 9/10 tanks through & is still going strong ( It is probably best to join where the HT lead lays straight, as it is not too flexable at the join, a shorter piece of piano wire could possibly be used)
