If you want a saw that will own a 25" bar, get a MS461.
If your stuck on Stihl and 25" Ba is required, the saw better start with a 4.
Besides that the new saws are going the way of new cars as they are not friendly to doing your own repairs.
60cc saws are happiest with 20" bars. Yes you can run a 24", did it on a homelite super XL for years. You really want 70cc for a 24". For that I'll keep my 038 saws

I went to get parts one day when the 362 came out. I went over and took a look and picked it up. Felt like a big fat box compared to a 361 0r 036. That was enough for me. .....
I seriously doubt that, certainly not with a 25" bar. They do mod well, but not that well.I've heard a ported Echo 600p will cut right with a stock ms461. Powerhead would be 1 1/2 lbs. lighter and (even after porting), cost about $200 less. What's your thoughts on this since you've done a nice port job on a 600p?

I disagree with the first sentence and totally agree with the second.
If a person wanted a 660 there is three in the Tradin Post. It seems as if many are wanting to unload that model.
I am not recommending a 660 just making an observation.

I'm waiting for you guys to say these echo saws will cut wood by themselves, wearing a 48" bar, then split and stack the wood for you, and at the end of the day make a good hot supper, grow a set of boobs and a vag, and go to bed with you they're just that good!.. ..run with a 461I've heard a ported Echo 600p will cut right with a stock ms461.
