200t's are great saws, I know many guys who insist on only using them. As they are scarce, they take good care of them & would NEVER entertain the idea of putting Chinese parts on them. I think the OP should sell the saw to a climber who will fix it properly and with the money go buy a new ms170. Most likely he will prefer it.

I've adjusted both the H- and L-screw one full turn out and the saw sounds like it should on idle and throttle. Also did some cuts and it felt good too.
I have no idea what demons that have haunted the saw or what have happened for them to leave....
