Bought an MS880 last fall. I have to agree with the earlier point about letting it get broken in. After 3-4 tanks, it was noticeably better.
If you are going to do any milling, I would not mod it. Milling is all torque, and an 880 or 3120 which are basically torque focused are fine stock.
