Stupid question time...what model chain does my new saw have?

It's a new Husky 365 Special.

I suspect it's an H42 3/8 standard. How can I tell for sure?

I guess I'm just assuming that there is a standard model that new Husqvarnas in that size range come stock with.

I run Oregon 73 skip on my saw. They make 73 non skip, I used that on an 18" bar on my 266xp.

Loosen the chain and look at the number stamped on the driver. Husq chain is made by oregon. H47 crosses with oregon 73LG. (3/8 058), but it could be the 050 variety, too.

My guess would be Oregon 72 series (.50) guage on that length bar...

You can tell by number on the drive link and by the part # on the blade also that tells you the gauge ,length and pitch.

This is the chain on my 365 special..but I have the 20" bar.

Yes, and H42 is the 73LP.
H42 is all they want to sell in 3/8" here.......

What's the difference between the H42 and the H48?
