Here in the Midwest tonight, we may have hit the turn. We're now on the back side of this cold front. Winds out of the WNW @ 27 with gusts to 35 and temps in the mid 30's, spittin' snow. The stove is pulling a draft like a runaway freight train.

First night I've passed on the shoulder season wood and went straight to the good stuff.

We had gusts over 45 MPH last night, steady wind at 30 MPH... sounded like a freight train out there a couple times.
Still blowin' pretty good this morning, well over 20 MPH and there was a 35 MPH gust just an hour or so ago.
Supposed to be a bit chilly by tomorrow morning, 20°... guess it's time to stow the pressure washer for winter.
This is likely gonna' be the first-of-the-year 24+ hour fire in the furnace.

Pretty sure reality just set in for a lot of people. Firewood sales have been non-existent until yesterday. Got calls for about 10 cords of wood yesterday. Winter is finally here in the midwest. We have snow flurries this morning. Was wearing shorts to work the past 2 days.
