This is how my wife repaid me for my family time this weekend.

So my wife has been hounding me to spend more time with her and the kids instead of my usual "unending firewood season" last weekend. So we loaded up the boat and headed out to a lake that's by our house. Good weather, very little wind, bass jumping all around us. Less than 30 minutes in, she goes to cast and I get an earful of her deep diving crank bait. Yeah that hook went all the way through my ear. Of course my cutting pliers are in my chainsaw toolbox back at the house. Luckily we flagged down another fisherman who had a pair in his tackle box. I'm never taking her into the woods to cut wood, that's for sure. Fishing is dangerous enough for me when she's around..LOL. It's all good now, just a little sore still this morning.

"regular" fishing is always that painfull to me...I only like ice fishing as its some what exciting, running around to each hole checking or pulling in the fish...even better if you have a snowmobile, more holes, more fish...I cant stand just sitting there hoping ill come across a fish

I put a 4-prong sucker spear (sort'a like a mini pitchfork with barbs) through my brother's foot once...
He got even by shovin' a screwdriver through my leg...
My sister (the informer) started screamin' for Dad... he broke it up before any serious damage was done :D
Dad used a small gold-plated (at least gold colored) fish hook with the barb filed off to sew us both up; my sister fainted and split her lip on the work bench... so the "informer" got what was commin' to her

While flyfishing chain of ponds Maine my Grandfather sunk one into my Grandmothers cheek. They snipped the line and continued fishing. That night back at the camp site under more controlled conditions they pushed it through and snipped the barb. I think they saw the family doctor once they got home the next week.
