So being my girlfriend had to work this weekend, I figured I'd get some cutting in at a new location. Guy from work had his place logged off about 1.5 years ago; oak & hickory. This pic is about 25% white oak & 75% shagbark hickory. Yesterday's load was same size & 100% hickory. I bet there's enough downed & standing dead for 5 years+. Still lots of white oak, hickory, cherry, mulberry, & a few species I can't identify. And it's all only 10 minutes from my house! Also included are some pics of my current inventory... last picture is oak 4x6s i get from work. Hello, my name is Josh and I have a firewood problem :) Have a good one everybody! 20150419_133829.jpg20150419_133829.jpg1429479952311.jpg

Let me congratulate you- YOU SUCK! You set a new standard for serious suckage. Congratulations! (Loving shagbark here too!)

Forget "Troll of the Month". How about "Suckage of the Summer" or something like that. Prize: a Jacuzzi.

Damn!!! That's awesome!!!!!

I am truly jealous of you guys that have the abundance of hardwoods available.

How about "Suckage of the Year" or "Suckage of the 21st Century"?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yea, there's a lot of wood there, but not having to worry about being short years to come is a nice feeling. The gf will be helping me this weekend & we're shooting for 2 loads per day. Gonna concentrate on the downed hickory & cherry, as they will rot the fastest, then the oak & maybe some mulberry come sunday. Happy & safe cutting everybody! :chainsaw:
