Randy, does the 2153 have a regular 346xp carb, or a bigger one?

Regular carb.......tweaked a little. Casting flash knocked out of the venturi and screws thinned.

Soooo, just to bring it front and center. You had to totally alter the Stihl design to make it fast enough to come in last? :hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:

Well.......yes.

Now you gotta run the 2 5100's you got in the same wood...

They ain't here yet. But I can and will.

I did just run a stock 028 Super that's been just rebuilt with the same bar and Mike's chain.

Three cuts......an average of 10.2 seconds.

There you have it everybody!

This thread can now be closed - this is the only necessary post this thread needs!

It's not over til the fat lady sings and by god she just sang us her most beautiful song!

Wait. Did I just call you a fat lady....??

Hi John! :byebye:

Actually, no thread is complete until the Chuckster has chimed in!!

I was wondering how my Master Emuberized 028 Super would fair in this 3 cube festival.

Ya just can't please everyone young Jacob. There's over 200 videos on my youtube channel..........saws for every occasion. :hmm3grin2orange:

I understand what you're saying and it would give us an idea of which saw has more grunt, but remember we are dealing with 50cc saw.

Agreed the wood it's in is the wood it will be cutting 90% of the time. I would like to see a ported 5100 with them and a 20" 3/8 BnC though.......hint, hint...

Take that dirty talk elsewhere, buddy.

PM heading your way! ;)

Its not ALL about speed.
If were looking for the perfect 3 cube saw you would have to accomidate lots of points of views besides which goes through a 18" poplar log the fastest.
I would put money on the 261 keeping up with the orange/red turds alot better :)
I think weight should be brought into the debate. (im sure the 555 will win that contest though?)

Id bet 75% of the U.S's 50cc saw owners are the worst with maintenence, so quality should be brought in as well?
I know this wasnt Randys intentions of debating when he started this thread, but which 3 of these saws will be around in 40 years when they have been beat to **** by farmers, tree trimmers, homeowners and firewood cutters.

Ya know i need to stir the pot!! :)
You aint got nothin better to do do ya?

The Stihlheads are splitting hairs trying to find an advantage:potstir:

DONT BLOW MY COVER!
;)

In really glad to see that you re-visited this. To be honest with you, I was struggling with the results you posted last week showing the 550 ahead of the 346. Had that been the case, then my 346 had to be way stronger than yours, or your 550 had to be way stronger than mine. I didn't figure either to be the case. You're findings today match more what I would expect:clap: Nice job!

Them saws are flying through that wood. Must be all in the chain:msp_razz: Just wait til you get a chain just for cutting soft wood like that.:chainsaw:

Out of the 3 I would pick the 550 to own for me.

The 2153 was on it's 2nd or 3rd tank when I traded it.

That chain was the ONLY thing that kept the Stihl in it at all...
