Tips for installing impulse line on Stihl 026

after experiencing idling issues in my 026 I decided to inspect the fuel and impulse line. The impulse line had a major crack. So I bought a replacement. The problem is I have caveman hands. Any tips on how to install one on this saw? It’s a much tighter space to work in compared to my bigger saws.

Hemostats. If you still need more room take off the three back anti-vibe rubbers and pry downward gently. Mike

On most models, take off the starter and use hemostats.

Anyone who works on saws should have a few pairs of hemostats..........

I have 2 or more in every size I could find, curved and not. Cheap enough and has made my life so much easier

Hemostats yes and remove the left rear top AV mount, that allows me plenty of space to remove and replace the impulse lines on the 026`s.
