I recently got a 357xp, and after a carb clean out and a top end rebuild, I reassembled and tried to tune it.
The tach reads 12500 at WOT, but it doesnt 4 stroke at all, no matter how long you run it at WOT.I am accustomed to tuning by ear and plug condition, but I find I have to run the rpm's all the way down to the 11000 mark before I get the proper sound.
I finally resorted to borrowing the tach to check it out.If my book is correct, max rpm should be 13500.Running it that far up makes it really scream without any stroking at all.
What gives? Should I run it at the 13500 and call it good?
Plug is a nice chocolate brown, but at 11000 its defenitly running rich.
