The DET digital tachometer has become pretty much standard. There is a version of it available from Stihl dealers, for a premium of course.
I Have not seen the old mechanical resonant vibratac for some years, but they were cheap and lasted forever, unlike the digital, nonreplaceable battery jobs that cost far more.
