im starting to move around a little now so I’m inspecting my used saws. My 257 feels a tad light compression wise. I found the compression release button stuck in the pushed in position. It’s frozen so it’s leaking compression. The piston and cylinder feels ok. It must of sat along time with the compression release pushed in. It could have carbon in the valve by now. My point is don’t leave your cr pushed in if your not running the saw. They probably ran it this way.
