Can some one please point me to web site or elsewhere to learn all the differences between the various 661 models 661c, 661 cm, 661 magnum, etc. Thank you!
 
Not sure of the difference other than adjustable carb or mtronic.
but you want to stay away from first Gen that were I think recalled in USA. -but not all were -someone may have more info on that. here in Canada we got 2nd Gen. but I think you Can change module to 3rd Gen which cured a lot of issues with them
 
Thank you. We seldom use our 661C. Prolly should just sell. And yes you’re absolutely correct. Pulled It off shelf. C=CM….. after reading more here prolly been better to have bought adjustable carb 661.
 
661c and cm are the same thing. A “C” is a “CM”. They’re Mtronic. Any coil later than (above) 4700c should be trouble free.

A plain 661 has an adjustable carb
As I undestand it the cylinders all interchange. Could be wrong there idk.

Can a carb saw or Mtron be built from the same cases?
