USPS. No sense in filing a claim. They'd just beat me out of it again.....
you can win,,just have to cross all the i's,,and the t's!! I just went thru this,,at my post office,,and the female there helped me..if you dont do the form perfect,,they refuse it..she even called the main office,,where the form went, to ask them what the problem was,,,serious...

I've tried before..........not worth the trouble. They lost my business when they refused my claim. I use FedEx for saws now.

This saw was damaged when it was shipped to me..........

...and everybody else handles packages differently? The USPS clerk told me that they and UPS and Fed Ex have deals where they deliver each other's packages when it saves money. I asked because I saw the other carriers in the Post Office and wondered what they were doing there..

No.....they all are capable of busting your stuff. But FedEx and UPS will pay their claims.

I bought a small sandblast cabinet a few years back and came out of the house just in time to see the delivery girl throw it out of the truck into my driveway. I don't remember if she was Fedex or UPS but she wasn't from the Post Office. The cabinet was damaged so much it wouldn't ever keep the sand in but I wasn't out much so I let it go that time.

Over there
Fed Ex, UPS and the USPS must be in cahoots...i just had my phone replaced and it was delivered by Fed Ex Express, but to return the broken one i could send it Fed Ex or USPS with the Fed Ex label in the box.

I have also had thing delivered by USPS with a UPS shipping label on it.

I bet I've shipped better than 300 saws thru FedEx........so far, never an issue.
same here Randy. only one issue that i can think of in 4 years of using fedex and it was just an issue with a scheduled pickup that they picked up 2 days late. Fedex delivers all my saws from the distributor and they arent packed well at all. The ported 7910 incident was traced back to the distributor not fedex.

It is because they are no longer able to send mail on passenger airplanes so they have to contract to ups and FedEx. So then you would up with USPS handling the local small deliveries.

I must be missing something, how come a claim wasn't made on this saw & you have somehow worn the cost for something which has turned up damaged at your business, Signing that goods were received in good condition without an inspection doesn't leave much room for manoeuvring if they are damaged, a notation like subject to inspection doesn't close that door.
