What caused this 064 to blow up?

internal muffler screw got loose and sucked In thru the exhaust port... then got lost when It blew the hole in the case.
What did I win?

when I took it apart no muffler bolts we’re missing. Doesn’t mean the last owner didn’t replace one

Hey Wolf, I get more kicks out of watching and reading posts from others these days, yes I know what happened but since knowing what won`t fix the damage I just keep stuff under my old hat. I could load a half ton with busted crankcases and know what damaged each one. How many chainsaws have I worked over since 1965.? Even I would like to know that number.

I bet the reason this saw blew up was because it was tired of not being cleaned! Only kidding, hope you get it sorted bud!
