What chain brand YOU buy when u need one now (not online)

My current stock of chain rolls are all Carlton (Woodland Pro from Baileys) except for my roll of .325, .063 Full Chisel (that also came from Baileys). That roll of .325 does not have "Carlton" stamped on the side plates. It is likely made by one of the Blount companies as a generic chain. The factory grind on the cutters is just plain terrible. However, once it is properly sharpened it is really nice chain. After receiving my first couple of "sharpness" complaints about that particular chain roll, I have resorted to sharpening each loop I sell before it goes out the door. Happy customers now!

So, is Archer Chain made by Tri-link?

Rotary is cheap Chinese crap right? I just bought two 20", 3/8, .50 for $25.00 a chain at the local small engine shop. I'm pretty sure I took it in the shorts. Live and learn.

I got those for about $11 a loop. It stretches a lot at first but it's decent chain.

Good to hear that the stuff is at least halfway decent. I will be trying it out on my brand new 562xp with a Sugi Hara bar. LOL

The only chain I run is carlton semi chisel.
Online or from a shop.
Stihl chain is 10% better but double the price.
Semi hols the edge better in ausi hardwood, but nothing beats a new full chisel for the first tank before it goes blunt.
