But weren't all saws back then, "pro" saws? Did husky make any clamshells back then?

There were offering rebadged Frontier saws and they also had the Rancher 50 and 61. And going back further, they had the 65 that was regulated to civilian use. To complicate things, they had "CD" Capacitor Discharge models, which were also pro saws with electronic ignition. They seemed to use this on the older design with fuel and oil caps in the rear. There were also "SG" models that had heat. Eventually the whole mess got replaced with the XP, XPG, but there was overlap.
