What happened to Husqvarna and Jonsered model numbers?

So when Jonsered first started there saw we double digits and a few triple. When and why did they turn to the 20__ 21__ 22__. Did they do this to keep current or was it when Husqvarna bought Jonsered cuz husky had the 21__ not sure if they also had a 20__ 22__. Does Electrolux have something to do with it? Why is husky now in the 3__ and 5__? When did husky buy Jon? They bother relied on each other for sales.

Electrolux bought Jonsered in 1979. The models named 20XX, 21XX and 22XX are just red Husqvarnas.

Not entirely true. 2077, 2083, 2094 and 2095, I'm sure there are more, don't have any exact orange copies.

Agreed, the 20** series were the last of the true Jonsereds (even if they had Partner twins some of them!)
21** series were the close cousins to the Husqvarna fold. Not direct identical twins, but twins non the less and from there it became a downward spiral to where we are now, with not a Jonsered to be found.
My lifetime has spanned Jonsered being the top dog of the fleet, where they had the first developments and best of the best, before they were shared with the orange saws - to where they were quietly shunted out the back door of the Electrolux stable.
