What is this 038 part?

I found this part on the bench after working on a stihl 038. Any ideas on what it is? I know it came from this saw because it has a 1119 on it.

I think it is a starter pawl....or part of the choke leaver assembly......or toggle for the choke flap....

Starter pawl was on the machine. I will check the other two tomorrow evening.

it is the choke flap lever that installs in the air filter. the master control shaft rubs on it.

WC90 should know, because when he takes his boat anchor 038 Bagnumb into the bush he leaves a trail of parts like bread crumbs. That's how you find him in the woods. Lol

I don't think it is the choke lever part. Take a look at this photo of the air filter.

Around here a good mechanic always hands a customer a bag with leftover spare parts when the repair job is done!

Take a second 038 apart and see if it will poop the same part out.
