I recently purchased a house & due to rot or decay, I am having to have a few Sycamore trees removed. The person removing the trees for me suggested I plant Willow Maples because they are a hardwood tree that is strong & they are fast growing. I can't find anything on the net regarding a Willow Maple. I live in the Middle Tennessee area, so I am not sure if it is a native tree or whatnot. He also pointed out that I have a few Water Maples (finally figured this one out) & Hackberry trees on my property, of which he told me that Hackberry trees are succesptable to breaking in storms or high winds. Can anyone tell me what a Willow Maple is? Thanks.

Never heard of a willow maple. I've heard of a willow oak. Could that be what he said?

Silver maples are very susceptible to wind damage.
