What year did Stihl go to the MSxxx naming/numbering system for chainsaws and quit the old 0xx system? Wasn't it about two years ago, or has it been that long? Thanks for the info.
 
no biggee but i did like the old way better. you know ,when odd numbers were pro saws and even were consumer models. again jmo
this from a person who always prefer the kiss way of doing things.
if anyone doesnt know . it means keep it simple stupid,.i think.

Could be that they were offering old stock for models with little sale (088 didn't become 880 until last year).......
