Two 088's on the bench. Finished the porting on the first one tonight, hopefully get it running tomorrow. They will get different porting numbers to see what runs better.

I don't even know where to start..... Have a TS400 that as far as I can tell, just needs the spark plug threads fixed and probably carb kit/fuel line/fuel filter. Taking the jug to work tomorrow to weld up the hole. It's bad...I don't think the big inserts would fix it and I'm not paying a ton of money for the kit to find out. It looks like they stripped it, then drilled it out with a spade drill.....without removing it.

Lets see the evening started with:

Clutch replacement on a 372xt. (took two smashed saws and built one)

Then it lead into tearing down two $5 "2100s" to see what was there. First one (true 2100) passed a needle from the big end of the rod up past the piston and took a gouge from under the intake port up and around with it. But the saw was all there minus the guts for the chain brake. Second saw is somewhat of a mystery base (no tag). Believe it to be a 285 set of cranks. Removing the top deck revealed a 2100 top end sitting pretty in there, but it had a semi-stuck rings. Cleaned up the piston and rings (had to borrow a ring from the first one) and she came to life with around 130psi. Not great but for $10 bucks total, I cant complain about a running "2100 mutt."

Meanwhile a friend of mine shows up with a 285 that needs a ignition system. A 480 that was his uncles that needed a clutch spring. Along with them he brings his 1100 that is the prettiest of all of this menagerie of Husky saws, but unfortunately is missing the jug, slug, and muffler. It was blown up shortly after it was bought. real shame because it ruined the crank too.

So after a few hours of tinkering, we left with a running complete 2100 mutt, a 285 with the ignition out of my parts 2100, and the 480 with the clutch and spring out of his 1100.

I have been working on this thing.
I tried this out with the stock mufflers and with ten point sprocket up front. It was pretty good but not fast enough yet.

Now I'm about to try it out with these pipes and a 14 point sprocket up front.

Where's the build thread? Where's the video of it in wood?

Check out this guys builds. He takes a regular motorcycle engine and added cylinders to them. They end up looking like they came out of the factory that way! He's an artist!

Here's one of his vids.

Keep in mind, this started it's life as a single cylinder. Who's going to be the first one to do this with a chainsaw?

Some assembly required. But first I need to haul wood and try out the saw I ported.

I tore my 026 down the other day for some new av mounts. After giving it a thorough cleaning I decided to just give it some paint love. IMG-20140118-00410.jpg

I made two new gun acquisitions today. I had a Kimber Solo and traded it in on a new Kimber Solo CDP. I've been looking for a SxS shotgun for years. I wanted one with a Schnabel forend and a color case hardened frame. This gun has both, some you don't see often. It's a 16ga CZ Ringneck. It may have been shot once, but is basically a new gun, complete with box.

You have pretty good taste in guns Brad! I tend to agree with you on case hardened frames as well...
